What makes a garment Canadian?

A t-shirt isn’t just about the fabric—it’s about the process that transforms it into something special. While the blank shirt is the starting point, the real value comes from the work that goes into finishing it.

That’s where we focus on making the biggest Canadian impact.

Designed, printed, and finished in Nova Scotia – All of our artwork is created in-house, and every shirt is printed, pressed, packaged, and shipped from our Nova Scotia facility.
Local printing materials – We use a Nova Scotia-based supplier to ensure the highest quality and to support local business.
Canadian distribution – Our blank shirts come from Gildan, a Canadian company headquartered in Montreal, and are distributed through a Canadian supplier that employs approximately 200 people.
Maximizing the Canadian portion of our process – From day one, we’ve been committed to ensuring that the biggest part of the value—the finishing work, design, and craftsmanship—stays in Canada.

The Reality

The truth is, large-scale garment manufacturing in Canada is extremely limited, and even brands that claim "Made in Canada" often rely on imported cotton, as Canada does not grow cotton.

Most of the world’s cotton comes from the U.S., India, China, Brazil, Pakistan, Turkey, and other warm-climate countries. Regardless of where a shirt is made, the raw materials are sourced globally.

If we used Canadian-made blank t-shirts, our shirts—currently priced at $26.99—would have to retail for $50 or more just to cover costs.

That’s why we choose Gildan and other Canadian suppliers, ensuring that our apparel is affordable while still supporting Canadian businesses and jobs.

By keeping the most valuable part of the process—design, printing, pressing, and fulfillment—100% Canadian, we ensure that every purchase strengthens our local economy while delivering high-quality, meaningful apparel.
